About the Equitable Pricing Tier

This new pricing tier reflects our dedication to ensuring equitable access to our conference, regardless of financial circumstances.

 

We believe it's essential for us to prioritize inclusion and accessibility. By offering multiple pricing tiers, we aim to remove barriers and make our conference accessible to as many members as possible. Our goal is to create an environment where every homeschooling family feels valued and supported.

 

We understand that some families may be experiencing financial hardship, while others may have more flexibility in their budgets. Therefore, we encourage each of you to select the pricing tier that aligns with your family's current financial situation. Your choice will enable us to continue offering valuable resources and opportunities while ensuring that our community remains diverse and inclusive.

We use PayPal for payment processing. You may automatically see an offer for PayPal Credit during registration, along with other previously saved payment options. PayPal Credit offers zero interest if paid in full within 6 months. 

The Fine Print

  • The HSC Conference is the main annual fundraiser for HSC, therefore all registrations are non-refundable. ​
  • There is a $20 fee per person/ticket (not per family) to transfer registrations. ​​
  • Discounts are available to Work Exchange Volunteers, Speakers and Workshop Hosts. All discounts will be applied after your participation has been confirmed at the conclusion of the conference. There is no special registration process for these types of discounts for new volunteers, so please register as early as possible to minimize your net registration upfront expense.​
  • Some of our dedicated volunteers will qualify this year for a special upfront ticket price to reduce out of pocket costs. Those volunteers with 2 or more years of previous conference volunteer service who plan to volunteer in 2024 will be emailed a special discount code by our Conference Volunteer Coordinator. If for any reason a member receiving this discount is unable to complete their volunteer service as agreed upon, they will be invoiced for the discounted amount. 
  • If you are not currently a member, volunteering for the HSC Conference requires that you become a member of the Homeschool Association of California. 
  • All minors must be accompanied by a registered parent or other adult attendee.

Registration Transfer

  • You may transfer your registration(s) to another person with a charge of $20 for each individual ticket you are transferring.
  • To begin the transfer process, confirm that you have a willing buyer and seller and have agreed upon the number of tickets being transferred. 
  • First, the buyer will visit the conference registration site to purchase a $20 Buyer transfer ticket for each registration they are buying (The types need not match (ie: adult, teen, etc).
  • After the Buyer pays the Seller the agreed-upon price, the Seller will go to the registration site and purchase the same number of Seller Transfer Tickets (these are free). Once both of these transactions have taken place, that's HSC's signal that it's ok to release the tickets to the buyer and process the transaction. 
  • The last day to request transfers via the website is 7/11/2024. All transfers after this date are completed on-site at the conference. For the two weeks prior to the conference, tickets may be transferred via this process but you will only have confirmation of the completed transaction via your transfer ticket purchase when you register at conference.
