Volunteering at Conference

Why volunteer for conference?

And...because we can't do it without you! We LOVE and APPRECIATE our volunteers!

It takes a lot of people to put on an event this big! Have you considered being a volunteer? There are two main ways to volunteer at the HSC Conference:

1) Give a few hours of your time to be a General Volunteer

2) Become a Work Exchange Team Member and GIVE 6 hours of your time and get your conference fees to just $50!

General Volunteer - While we do have big jobs for the super committed, what if you just have a few hours to spare? Please consider helping us out on site. We need help throughout the conference in every area. Come meet new people and be part of the conference team by volunteering on-site with some of these smaller jobs! Click on the link below and fill out the Volunteer Info Form to join the volunteer team!

Work Exchange Team Member (WE Team) - To join the WE Team, you will need to:

Be a current HSC Member.
Be available and willing to work 6 full hours during the conference. (Or work 12 hours and get TWO $50 passes, one for you, and one for an immediate family member).
Be registered for the conference.
Apply for a position by filling out the Volunteer Info Form. Upon submission of this form, our Volunteer Coordinator will get back to you before the conference with more information about WE Team positions.

If you join the Work Exchange Team, you will:

Be assigned and expected to perform fun and engaging work shifts suited (as much as possible) to your preferences for a total of 6 hours over the course of the conference weekend. (Please note, most shifts are during conference session hours, not lunch breaks and evenings. Please be prepared to give up some of your conference time in order to be a part of the team and get a great discount on your registration fees.)
Earn a reduced registration rate in exchange for your 6 hours of work. (The balance of your registration fee will be refunded to you via Paypal after conference if you have fulfilled your volunteer obligations. If not, you will not receive a refund.)
If you so choose and are approved for 12 hours, earn a reduced registration rate for your registration AND one other immediate family member for your 12 hours of work. (The partial refund will be sent to you after the conference via Paypal if you have fulfilled your volunteer obligations. If not, you will not receive a refund.)
